Necro Armor can be accessed now that you’ve delved into the dungeon. Shadow Armor will also be a decent suggestion if you have corruption in your world, as the buff to movement speed and critical strike chance are both quite lovely. Melee users will struggle more in this fight since they have to keep their distance, and it would be best if you had the defense to back up that play style.
